Al-Mustaqbal University’s Institutional Accreditation Steering Committee Gathers to Navigate the Accreditation Process”

The Steering committee responsible for the national institutional accreditation of Al-Mustaqbal University, held its first meeting to discuss the university's accreditation from the Iraqi Council for Institutional Accreditation(ICIA). The meeting was attended by the committee's head and members, who deliberated on the process of fulfilling accreditation standards, task distribution, and guiding and monitoring subcommittees.

Scientific seminar for the Department of Quality Assurance and Academic Performance in the College of Nursing

the Quality Assurance Unit in the College of Nursing in collaboration with the Department of Quality Assurance and Academic Performance at the AL-MUSTAQBAL University organized a scientific seminar on programmatic accreditation entitled (The journey of programmatic accreditation for the College of Nursing: Exploring its path and culture). The seminar was delivered by Professor Dr. Saadiya Hadi Hamidi Al-Sharawi, Dean of the College of Nursing, and Assistant Professor Dr. Sosm Jassim Obaid, consultant to the Department of Quality Assurance and Academic Performance. Professor Dr. Saadiya Al-Sharawi spoke about the journey of programmatic accreditation for the College of Nursing, which began in 2021, when the programmatic accreditation committee was formed and the work plan was prepared and implemented. She explained that programmatic accreditation is a comprehensive evaluation process of academic programs, aimed at ensuring that they meet the quality requirements and professional standards in force. She pointed out that programmatic accreditation contributes to raising the level of quality of education and learning, and improving the employment opportunities of graduates of academic programs. For his part, Assistant Professor Dr. Sosm Obaid spoke about the importance of programmatic accreditation, and how to achieve it. He mentioned that programmatic accreditation requires compliance with a set of standards and procedures, which are: • Clear educational objectives and outcomes • Quality of the curriculum • Adequacy of faculty members • Quality of the educational process • Quality of assessment • Quality of facilities and equipment Dr. Sosm Obaid gave a presentation on programmatic accreditation, in which he explained the standards and procedures required to achieve it. The seminar was attended by a large number of faculty members and employees at the College of Nursing, where they interacted with the speakers and asked questions about programmatic accreditation.

The Department of Quality Assurance and University Performance organizes a scientific workshop on the program accreditation journey of the College of Pharmacy

Quality Assurance and Academic Performance Department at Al-Mustaqbal University, in cooperation with the College of Pharmacy at the University, organized, on Saturday, 25/11/2023, a scientific workshop entitled "The Program Accreditation Journey of the College of Pharmacy: Exploring Its Path and Culture". The workshop was delivered by Asst. Prof. Dr. Sosom Jassim Obaid, Consultant of the Quality Assurance and University Performance Department, and Asst. Prof. Shaima Munther Mohammed, lecturer in the Department of Pharmacy. The workshop aims to introduce participants to the concept of program accreditation, its stages, standards, and the importance of its application in higher education institutions. It also seeks to provide participants with the skills of preparing program accreditation documentations, and how to manage the accreditation process. The workshop was attended by a number of College Staff, students at the College of Pharmacy, and a number of those interested in quality at the university.

A workshop on Climate Action

The Quality Assurance and University Performance Department organized a training workshop on climate change, featuring Dr. Hussein Kazem Halwass, a representative of the university. The workshop was attended by representatives from various faculties, in accordance with the educational curriculum provided by the Apparatus of Supervision and Scientific Evaluation. This workshop is part of the university's objectives to achieve sustainable development goals, particularly focusing on Goal 13.

A Training Workshop on the Application of Iraqi National Institutional Accreditation Standards

Quality Assurance and Academic Performance Department at UOMUS organized a training workshop in collaboration with the Apparatus of Supervision and Scientific Evaluation, and in coordination with the Iraqi Council for Institutional Accreditation (ICIA), held at the Al-Mustaqbal University under the title "Application of Institutional Accreditation Standards: Ensuring Quality Education and Continuous Improvement."

A workshop on the Ministerial Evaluation System

Quality Assurance and Academic Performance Department at UOMUS organized a workshop on the Ministerial Evaluation System, entitled "Explanation of the Second Gateway Requirements for the Electronic Performance Evaluation System and the Mechanism for Inputting Scientific Data." The workshop featured a presentation by Dr. Marwa Abdul Karim Al-Saffar.

The periodic departments and sections meeting.

Prof. Hassan Shaker Magdi, the President of Future University, chaired a meeting for the Scientific Affairs, Quality Assurance Department, Cultural Relations, Employment, and Information Technology. During the meeting, the important achievements and future work plans were reviewed to support the sustainable development process and establish joint projects in all fields. The meeting also focused on supporting research, journals, and overcoming obstacles that hinder constructive work. Mr. Magdi applauded the efforts made by the collective departments in achieving the university's goals and enhancing its reputation.

A training workshop on the quality of the website and the preparation and audit of manuals for the academic departments

Within the plan of the Quality Assurance and Academic Accreditation Division to qualify the new cadre in the college, the division implemented a series of training workshops to qualify the new cadre. On Monday, 6/3/2023, where the workshop dealt with the definition of the college’s website and the method of monitoring the quality of the site to suit the national and international requirements for websites... The workshop also dealt with methods of preparing and checking guides for academic departments and the most important observations that must be available in the guides, the method of coding the guides and other topics .
