Quality Assurance Department Organizes Workshop on Evaluating the Performance of Staff in Colleges Implementing the Bologna Process

The Quality Assurance and University Performance Department at Al-Mustaqbal University organized a workshop entitled “Mechanism for Evaluating the Performance of Staff in Colleges Implementing the Bologna Process”, with the participation of deans, heads of departments, and quality assurance representatives. The workshop addressed the approved evaluation standards and tools. It was moderated by Dr. Riyadh Hamed, with presentations delivered by Dr. Zahraa Hashem and Dr. Sara Abdulmahdi. The session emphasized the importance of developing performance evaluation mechanisms in alignment with the Bologna Process requirements to enhance the quality of education and achieve the desired learning outcomes.

Al-Mustaqbal University Participates in the Virtual Meeting for the Launch of the Third Edition of the Arab University Ranking

As part of its ongoing efforts to stay aligned with developments in university rankings and to enhance quality standards, Al-Mustaqbal University participated in the virtual workshop organized by the Association of Arab Universities on Monday, May 19, 2025. The event marked the launch of the third edition of the Arab University Ranking. The university was represented by Dr. Riyadh Hamed, Director of the Quality Assurance Division, who joined participants in discussing the key evaluation indicators adopted in the ranking, recent updates to the methodology, and a detailed presentation of the newly launched electronic platform dedicated to the ranking system. This participation reflects Al-Mustaqbal University’s commitment to strengthening its presence in regional and international rankings and upholding the highest standards of quality and academic accreditation.

Strategic Meeting at Al-Mustaqbal University : Advancing Academic Planning and Sustainability Outcomes

As part of its commitment to continuous improvement and institutional excellence, Al-Mustaqbal University held a consultative meeting with the participation of university vice presidents and directors of departments affiliated with the Presidency. The meeting focused on evaluating the outcomes of the Third International Future Week for Sustainability and reviewing the progress made in implementing the scientific plan for the 2024–2025 academic year. The University President emphasized the need to intensify efforts, strengthen teamwork, and uphold a culture of quality and innovation to support the university’s strategic direction in sustainability, research, and academic excellence.

As Part of Its Internationalization Efforts, Al-Mustaqbal University Welcomes a High-Level Delegation from Mansoura University, Egypt

In line with its commitment to international collaboration, Al-Mustaqbal University, represented by its President, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, welcomed a distinguished delegation from Mansoura University, Egypt, led by its President, Prof. Dr. Sherif Youssef Khater. The meeting, attended by members of the University Council, deans, and directors of academic and administrative departments, aimed to strengthen academic cooperation and activate the provisions of the previously signed agreement between the two institutions. The visit featured welcoming remarks, documentary presentations introducing both universities, and discussions on several key areas of collaboration, including: • Activation of existing memoranda of understanding. • Hosting specialized postgraduate programs. • Joint training initiatives in partnership with the Continuing Education Center. • Collaboration between parallel research centers and exchange of expertise in quality assurance and academic accreditation. • Cooperation in global rankings, academic reputation, and scientific journal editorial boards. • Joint efforts toward achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The meeting concluded with the adoption of key decisions aimed at enhancing scientific cooperation and opening new horizons for joint academic initiatives.

Al-Mustaqbal University Honors Quality Assurance Staff for Their Contribution to World Intellectual Property Day Celebration

Al-Mustaqbal University honored members of the Quality Assurance and Academic Performance Department, along with the organizing committee, in recognition of their efforts in organizing the World Intellectual Property Day celebration held on April 26, 2026, under the patronage of University President Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi. The event was attended by representatives from government ministries, the Iraqi Association of Inventors and Innovators, as well as a distinguished group of academics and inventors. Dr. Mudhafar Sadiq Al-Zuheiri presented certificates of appreciation to the honorees in acknowledgment of their role in the event’s success. The celebration also featured the official launch of the university’s Intellectual Property Policy, making Al-Mustaqbal University the first academic institution in Iraq to adopt such a policy—an important step toward fostering innovation and protecting intellectual rights.

Research Participation by the Quality Assurance Department in a Scientific Conference

Ms. Sama Safaa Al-Murieb, a staff member of the Department of Quality Assurance and University Performance, participated in the First Annual Scientific Conference of Ibn Khaldun University College, held in Erbil in collaboration with several universities and institutions. She presented a research paper entitled: "Recycling and Its Impact on Sustainable Performance: An Analytical Study of the Opinions of a Sample of Employees at Oyun Baghdad Water Factory," focusing on the role of recycling practices in enhancing institutional sustainable performance. This participation reflects the department’s ongoing efforts to support scientific research and strengthen academic engagement
