Over 1,000 Visitors to the Quality Assurance and University Performance Booth at Al-Mustaqbal University During Sustainability Week

As part of Sustainability Week at Al-Mustaqbal University, the Quality Assurance and University Performance Department booth witnessed a remarkable turnout, attracting a total of 1,005 visitors from Wednesday, April 16 to Wednesday, April 23. The booth experienced peak engagement between 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., with an average of one visitor every 90 seconds. This high level of participation reflects the increasing interest in quality assurance and its importance in academic development. Active Participation of the Quality Assurance Department in Al-Mustaqbal University Sustainability Week

The Quality Assurance and University Performance Department at Al-Mustaqbal University played an active and distinguished role in the events of Sustainability Week, held as part of the university’s ongoing commitment to promoting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Throughout the week, the department organized and participated in a range of activities, workshops, and exhibitions aimed at enhancing awareness of sustainability practices within the academic community. The department also showcased its initiatives and achievements related to quality assurance and sustainable development, including the integration of sustainability principles into institutional policies, academic programs, and performance evaluation systems. This participation reflects the department’s strategic vision to support the university’s mission in achieving excellence and sustainability, and to foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement in line with national and international standards.

Quality Assurance Department in the Training Course on the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM)

Participation of the Quality Assurance Department in the Training Course on the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) Excellence Model, held in Erbil Governorate from April 12 to 17, 2025. The event was organized by the Supervision and Scientific Evaluation Authority at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, in cooperation with the Audit and Control Department at the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers. Al-Mustaqbal University was represented by Dr. Riyadh Hamed Salman and Lecturer Haider Hawad. The workshop brought together a distinguished group of performance evaluation directors and quality assurance managers from various Iraqi universities. It focused on capacity building in the application of the EFQM model and on promoting concepts of sustainable quality and institutional excellence in line with modern trends in higher education development.

The Quality Assurance Department Continues to Monitor the Readiness of the College of Dentistry for Program Accreditation at AL Mustaqbal University

With the support of the respected University President and the supervision of the Quality Assurance Department, the Internal Audit Team at Future University continues its efforts to ensure the College of Dentistry’s readiness for the implementation of program accreditation standards, as part of the ongoing preparations ahead of the ministerial committee’s visit. In this context, the team conducted a site visit today to review the academic and administrative requirements needed to meet the quality and accreditation standards, with the aim of assessing the progress made in meeting the required criteria and providing recommendations to ensure full readiness. The audit team consisted of: Dr. Riyadh Al-Obaidi – Head of the Quality Assurance Division. Mr. Haidar Jawad – Head of the Accreditation Division. Asst. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Mahmoud – Vice Dean of the College of Pharmacy. Prof. Dr. Aysam Mahmoud – Head of the Accreditation Division. Engineer Iman Sahib – Head of the Institutional Accreditation Unit. Asst. Lecturer Abrar Ali – Quality Assurance Department. These efforts are part of Future University’s commitment to applying the highest academic quality standards, contributing to the advancement of educational outcomes and enhancing institutional excellence in accordance with national and international standards

This effort is part of the final preparations to welcome the evaluation team, as the college works to ensure compliance with all specified requirements and standards. This initiative aims to enhance the quality of academic programs and elevate performance levels at the College of Dentistry, in line with Al Mustaqbal University’s vision of achieving academic excellence and gaining local and international recognition.

The Central Quality Assurance Department, in cooperation with the College of Health and Medical Technologies, holds a workshop to explain the mechanism for preparing conformity reports.

A Workshop at the College of Health and Medical Techniques Explains the Mechanism for Preparing Compliance Reports. The Quality Assurance Department at the College of Health and Medical Technologies, in collaboration with the Central Quality Assurance Department, organized a workshop titled "Mechanism for Preparing Compliance Reports," led by the division's head, Professor Dr. Aysam Mohammed, with the attendance of a select group of academics and officials from the college. The workshop focused on explaining the detailed steps for creating a compliance report in accordance with approved standards. Its sessions included: • Clarifying the methodology for drafting self-reports and mechanisms for accurately documenting data. • Designing an improvement plan and ensuring its alignment with local and international quality standards. • Presenting the basic structure of a compliance report and the key elements to be included. • Discussing the challenges faced by teams during preparation and proposing practical solutions. The event aimed to unify mechanisms among academic departments and ensure the efficient application of accreditation standards.
