Al-Mustaqbal University Participates in the Times Arab Universities Summit 2025

Al-Mustaqbal University participated in the THE Arab Universities Summit 2025, which was held at Amman Al-Ahliyya University in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan from November 25 to 27, 2025. This participation came as part of the university’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its presence in the fields of scientific research and international rankings, and to keep pace with modern developments in higher education The summit was attended on behalf of Al-Mustaqbal University by Eng. Ali Abbas Zuwain, Director of the International Rankings Unit The summit featured a series of panel discussions and workshops that addressed several key themes, including The role of Arab universities in supporting development and innovation Enhancing the quality of education and developing curricula in line with future skills The importance of scientific research and international collaboration in improving global ranking indicators Digital transformation and artificial intelligence as key pillars of higher education This participation represents an additional step in Al-Mustaqbal University’s continuous efforts to engage with regional and global experiences and to strengthen its position on the map of higher education and scientific research at both the Arab and international levels

Al-Mustaqbal University Organizes Online Workshop to Strengthen Research Collaboration and Monitor Academic Plans

Al-Mustaqbal University Holds an Online Workshop to Follow Up on the Research Plan and Enhance Scientific Collaboration On Saturday, 22/11/2025, the Scientific Committee at the Presidency of Al-Mustaqbal University held an online workshop in collaboration with the Research Unit at the College of Sciences and the academic staff. The workshop aimed to discuss mechanisms for developing research work and following up on the implementation of the research plan in the academic departments. The workshop was attended by Mr. Mohammed Shawkat, representing the Scientific Committee, and Eng. Najwan Thaer Ali, representing the Research Unit at the College of Sciences, along with the research plan representatives from the College’s departments The meeting included discussions on ways to enhance scientific research, develop cooperation mechanisms between the university presidency and the college, and monitor the implementation of research plans, as well as assess the commitment of the academic staff in executing them. These efforts contribute to improving scientific output and supporting the university’s academic mission This meeting comes as part of a series of gatherings aimed at raising the quality of research projects and improving the research environment at Al-Mustaqbal University

Participation of the Scientific Affairs Department Members at Al-Mustaqbal University in the EURAS Online Series on Higher Education Internationalization Professor Tariq Jawad Kazem, Director of the Scientific Affairs Department at Al-Mustaqbal University, and Mr. Ali Abbas Abdul-Hussein, Director of the International Rankings Unit at Al-Mustaqbal University, participated in the online seminar organized by the Eurasian Universities Union (EURAS) as part of its ongoing series on higher education. The session was titled “Rethinking Internationalization in Higher Education: Lessons from Global Crises and Emerging Trends,” and was held on 19 November 2025 at 11:00 AM Baghdad time. The seminar discussed the impact of recent global crises—including the COVID-19 pandemic, geopolitical tensions, economic fluctuations, and rapid technological advancements—on the higher education sector. It highlighted how these developments have prompted academic institutions to reassess traditional internationalization models and adopt more flexible, digital, inclusive, and strategically oriented approaches. A distinguished group of international leaders and experts in higher education took part in the session, including: Prof. Mustafa Aydın – President of EURAS and EURIE, and President of Istanbul Aydın University. Prof. Philip G. Expanded Meeting of Academic Supervision Departments with the University President The President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hasan Shaker Majdy, chaired an expanded meeting with directors and staff of academic departments to review progress and evaluate scientific, administrative, and academic performance In his remarks, the President underscored the collective responsibility to maintain high performance levels, strengthen the university’s academic reputation, and sustain recent achievements. He emphasized the importance of advancing scientific research, promoting sustainability, building effective national and international partnerships, and adhering to quality assurance and accreditation standards He also instructed the departments to monitor the implementation of academic plans for 2025–2026, enhance research-related activities—including conferences, seminars, workshops, and scholarly events—and further develop faculty and administrative capacities while optimizing existing cooperation agreements The President concluded by calling for regular analytical reports to support evidence-based evaluation and decision-making
