Under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, the university launched a wide tree-planting campaign that covered the university campus and its surrounding areas. During the campaign, ten thousand perennial tree seedlings were planted in a step that reflects the university’s commitment to supporting the National Afforestation Program and promoting the concepts of environmental sustainability while preserving the campus environment The campaign was organized in coordination with the Diwan Affairs Department at the University Presidency, which supervised and followed up on the implementation of the planting activities. This initiative aligns with the university’s vision to expand green spaces and improve the environmental quality within the campus, contributing to the creation of a healthy and suitable educational environment for students and staff This initiative comes as part of the university’s efforts to support environmental programs and contribute to addressing climate change by increasing vegetation cover and reducing the carbon footprint, in addition to enhancing the aesthetic and environmental aspects of the university’s facilities The campaign witnessed active participation from academic leaders, university professors, staff members, and students, particularly students from the Sustainability Ambassadors Initiative, who played a notable role in implementing the tree-planting activities. Seedlings were distributed and planted in several locations across the campus to enhance biodiversity and add a sustainable aesthetic appearance to the university’s facilities The campaign aims to strengthen environmental awareness among students and promote a culture of volunteer work, as well as encourage initiatives that contribute to protecting natural resources and enhancing the role of academic institutions in serving society Through this initiative, Al-Mustaqbal University also seeks to promote the spirit of cooperation and strengthen students’ sense of institutional belonging, helping to build a university community that is aware of its responsibilities toward environmental protection and community development At the conclusion of the event, the President of the University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, expressed his appreciation to the Diwan Affairs Department at the University Presidency for their great efforts in organizing and successfully implementing this environmental campaign. Under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Science, Assistant Professor Dr. Furat Hamza Al-Sultani, and in cooperation with the Rehabilitation, Employment, and Follow-up Division at the university, the College of Science organized a scientific workshop entitled “Transforming Scientific Research into a Startup Business in the Fields of Applied Sciences.” This event was held in celebration of the National Entrepreneurship Day The workshop was organized as part of the college’s efforts to support extracurricular activities and promote a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship among students and university staff. It also aimed to encourage participants to utilize research outcomes and transform them into entrepreneurial projects that contribute to community service and support the economy The lecture of the workshop was delivered by Professor Dr. Dirgham Ali Abbas Al-Sultani, who addressed several important practical topics, including mechanisms for transforming a research idea into a marketable product or service, strategies for protecting intellectual property, business models and market planning, as well as methods for securing initial funding and building effective teams for startup projects. The lecture also presented applied examples in the fields of applied sciences and provided practical guidance for researchers interested in transforming their research projects into successful startups The workshop was attended by the Assistant Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Latif Hussein, and the Head of the Student Activities Division at the College, Lecturer Dr. Alaa Hadi Shaker, along with a number of faculty members and staff of the College of Science. Under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the Technical Engineering College, Professor Dr. Azhar Mohsen, and with the follow-up of the Rehabilitation and Employment Division at the Presidency of Al-Mustaqbal University, the Summer Training Unit and the Rehabilitation and Employment Unit at the Technical Engineering College have begun implementing a series of free training courses in cooperation with Al-Almas National Company for General Trading This initiative comes within the framework of Al-Mustaqbal University’s commitment to developing students’ skills and strengthening their practical abilities in line with the requirements of the labor market The program witnessed the launch of the first training course, the Board Soldering Course, which targeted students from the Departments of Electrical Engineering Technologies, Computer Engineering Technologies, and Communications Engineering Technologies. The course included practical training aimed at enhancing students’ skills in technical and electronic work, and it received notable engagement from participating students The remaining training courses are scheduled to continue according to the program’s timetable. These courses include specialized training in assembly, inspection, and maintenance, which will contribute to providing students with the necessary practical experience and developing their technical and professional capabilities This initiative comes as part of the university’s efforts to support qualification and practical training programs and to provide applied educational opportunities that help prepare students and qualify them to enter the labor market with competence and distinction
Al-Mustaqbal University conducted employment interviews for its graduates in several engineering specializations, in coordination with the Rehabilitation and Employment Division at the University Presidency, based on the previously announced recruitment notice The interviews were held under the direct supervision of the Dean of the Technical Engineering College, Professor Dr. Azhar Mohsen, and in the presence of a specialized committee of academics. Graduates were received and interviewed according to professional and academic standards aimed at selecting qualified and competent candidates The interviews included graduates from the Computer Engineering Technologies and Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineering Technologies departments, giving them the opportunity to present their academic skills and practical experience before the specialized committee This step comes as part of the university’s ongoing efforts to support its graduates and professionally prepare them, as well as to strengthen cooperation with the labor market in a way that contributes to providing real job opportunities for graduates of Al-Mustaqbal University
The Industrial Advisory Council at the College of Agricultural Technologies held its first regular meeting under the chairmanship of the College Dean, with the presence of the council members and the Head of the Rehabilitation, Employment and Follow-up Division at the University Presidency, Professor Dr. Iman Abdul Aziz The council discussed prospects for cooperation between the college and hatcheries regarding student training and conducting some practical lessons for students of the Department of Animal Production Technologies, in addition to the possibility of conducting scientific research there. They also explored developing partnerships in other areas related to the department’s work, as well as the department’s role in providing scientific consultations to the hatchery On his part, the Hatchery Director expressed his full readiness to cooperate, praising the initiative of University of the Future, represented by its President Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, in opening the door for cooperation and exchange of expertise between the university and the private sector, thereby promoting the principle of the university’s engagement with the community
