Under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Magdy, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Agricultural Technologies, the College Dean’s Office organized a specialized online scientific workshop titled “Water Pollution: Causes, Effects, and Treatment” on Friday, March 27, 2026, via the Google Meet platform. The workshop was presented by Assistant Lecturer Ahmed Jamil Al-Taie, with the discussion focusing on highlighting the growing environmental risks resulting from water pollution and its direct impacts on the agricultural sector and public health. The workshop also reviewed the latest technologies and innovative scientific solutions for treating contaminated water, as well as how to reduce the causes of pollution to ensure the sustainability of natural resources. The workshop saw a notable turnout of professors, researchers, and students interested in environmental and agricultural issues. The event featured extensive scientific discussions on ways to enhance environmental awareness and activate the role of scientific research in finding practical solutions to the challenges facing water security in the region. It is worth noting that this workshop is part of a series of scientific and academic activities organized by the College of Agricultural Technologies at Al-Mustaqbal University, as part of its ongoing efforts to achieve sustainable development goals and link scientific outputs to the needs of society and the environment.
