Under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Magdi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Agricultural Technologies, the College’s Deanship organized an expanded online scientific workshop on the evening of Thursday, March 26, 2026, titled “Hydroponics: The Future of Sustainable Agriculture.”
The workshop was presented by Prof. Dr. Mahdi Abdul-Kazim Abdul, who addressed the importance of transitioning to hydroponic systems as a strategic solution to water scarcity and soil degradation. The workshop highlighted modern technologies in this field and their active role in increasing agricultural productivity and achieving sustainable development goals, thereby ensuring the provision of safe and environmentally friendly crops.
The workshop was held online at 7:30 p.m. and saw broad participation from specialists, researchers, and undergraduate students, who enriched the session with their discussions on ways to apply these technologies on a large scale in the local agricultural sector.
This scientific initiative is part of Al-Mustaqbal University’s vision to promote agricultural innovation and adopt technological solutions that contribute to protecting natural resources and supporting the national economy through rigorous scientific research.
