The President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, inaugurated the booth of the College of Agricultural Technologies and its departments on Sunday, April 12, at the Central Student Activities Hall. The opening ceremony was attended by Assistant Professor Dr. Ziad Al-Fatlawi from the Board of Advisors at the Prime Minister’s Office, alongside the University Vice-Presidents, the Academic and Scientific Supervisor, and Professor Dr. Mohsen Abd Ali Al-Furaiji, Advisor to the University Presidency, in addition to several professors and students.
During the inauguration, the attendees reviewed a collection of distinguished scientific projects that reflect the college's focus on adopting modern technologies and promoting agricultural sustainability. The showcased projects included: the Indoor Farming project, the Smart Irrigation project using renewable energy, and a design for a humidity-raising device inside cultivation rooms utilizing Artificial Intelligence (AI) techniques. These projects garnered significant interest for their practical applications that contribute to developing the agricultural sector and keeping pace with technological advancements.
The exhibition of these projects will continue until Wednesday, April 15, as part of the university's commitment to supporting innovation and encouraging student talent to provide scientific solutions that serve society and enhance the path toward sustainable development.
