Al-Mustaqbal University Launches an Environmental Campaign to Plant Ten Thousand Seedlings Across the Campus

Under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, the university launched a wide tree-planting campaign that covered the university campus and its surrounding areas. During the campaign, ten thousand perennial tree seedlings were planted in a step that reflects the university’s commitment to supporting the National Afforestation Program and promoting the concepts of environmental sustainability while preserving the campus environment The campaign was organized in coordination with the Diwan Affairs Department at the University Presidency, which supervised and followed up on the implementation of the planting activities. This initiative aligns with the university’s vision to expand green spaces and improve the environmental quality within the campus, contributing to the creation of a healthy and suitable educational environment for students and staff This initiative comes as part of the university’s efforts to support environmental programs and contribute to addressing climate change by increasing vegetation cover and reducing the carbon footprint, in addition to enhancing the aesthetic and environmental aspects of the university’s facilities The campaign witnessed active participation from academic leaders, university professors, staff members, and students, particularly students from the Sustainability Ambassadors Initiative, who played a notable role in implementing the tree-planting activities. Seedlings were distributed and planted in several locations across the campus to enhance biodiversity and add a sustainable aesthetic appearance to the university’s facilities The campaign aims to strengthen environmental awareness among students and promote a culture of volunteer work, as well as encourage initiatives that contribute to protecting natural resources and enhancing the role of academic institutions in serving society Through this initiative, Al-Mustaqbal University also seeks to promote the spirit of cooperation and strengthen students’ sense of institutional belonging, helping to build a university community that is aware of its responsibilities toward environmental protection and community development At the conclusion of the event, the President of the University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, expressed his appreciation to the Diwan Affairs Department at the University Presidency for their great efforts in organizing and successfully implementing this environmental campaign. He also praised the distinguished participation of the university’s professors, staff members, and students He further affirmed that Al-Mustaqbal University will continue to support environmental projects and sustainable initiatives that reinforce the concepts of sustainability and green development, in line with national efforts aimed at protecting natural resources and building a greener and more sustainable future for the coming generations

On the Occasion of National Entrepreneurship Day… The College of Science at Al-Mustaqbal University Holds a Scientific Workshop in Cooperation with the Rehabilitation, Employment, and Follow-up Division on Transforming Scientific Research into a Startup Business

Under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Science, Assistant Professor Dr. Furat Hamza Al-Sultani, and in cooperation with the Rehabilitation, Employment, and Follow-up Division at the university, the College of Science organized a scientific workshop entitled “Transforming Scientific Research into a Startup Business in the Fields of Applied Sciences.” This event was held in celebration of the National Entrepreneurship Day The workshop was organized as part of the college’s efforts to support extracurricular activities and promote a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship among students and university staff. It also aimed to encourage participants to utilize research outcomes and transform them into entrepreneurial projects that contribute to community service and support the economy The lecture of the workshop was delivered by Professor Dr. Dirgham Ali Abbas Al-Sultani, who addressed several important practical topics, including mechanisms for transforming a research idea into a marketable product or service, strategies for protecting intellectual property, business models and market planning, as well as methods for securing initial funding and building effective teams for startup projects. The lecture also presented applied examples in the fields of applied sciences and provided practical guidance for researchers interested in transforming their research projects into successful startups The workshop was attended by the Assistant Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Latif Hussein, and the Head of the Student Activities Division at the College, Lecturer Dr. Alaa Hadi Shaker, along with a number of faculty members and staff of the College of Science. The event included interactive discussion sessions and short practical workshops focusing on developing preliminary business plans, evaluating market opportunities, and exploring ways to communicate with business incubators and accelerators At the conclusion of the workshop, the organizers praised the level of engagement and participation from attendees, emphasizing that such initiatives contribute to fostering a culture of innovation and teamwork within the university environment. Launch of a Series of Free Training Courses for Students of the Technical Engineering College at Al-Mustaqbal University

Under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the Technical Engineering College, Professor Dr. Azhar Mohsen, and with the follow-up of the Rehabilitation and Employment Division at the Presidency of Al-Mustaqbal University, the Summer Training Unit and the Rehabilitation and Employment Unit at the Technical Engineering College have begun implementing a series of free training courses in cooperation with Al-Almas National Company for General Trading This initiative comes within the framework of Al-Mustaqbal University’s commitment to developing students’ skills and strengthening their practical abilities in line with the requirements of the labor market The program witnessed the launch of the first training course, the Board Soldering Course, which targeted students from the Departments of Electrical Engineering Technologies, Computer Engineering Technologies, and Communications Engineering Technologies. The course included practical training aimed at enhancing students’ skills in technical and electronic work, and it received notable engagement from participating students The remaining training courses are scheduled to continue according to the program’s timetable. These courses include specialized training in assembly, inspection, and maintenance, which will contribute to providing students with the necessary practical experience and developing their technical and professional capabilities This initiative comes as part of the university’s efforts to support qualification and practical training programs and to provide applied educational opportunities that help prepare students and qualify them to enter the labor market with competence and distinction

Al-Mustaqbal University Conducts Employment Interviews for Its Graduates in Engineering Specializations

Al-Mustaqbal University conducted employment interviews for its graduates in several engineering specializations, in coordination with the Rehabilitation and Employment Division at the University Presidency, based on the previously announced recruitment notice The interviews were held under the direct supervision of the Dean of the Technical Engineering College, Professor Dr. Azhar Mohsen, and in the presence of a specialized committee of academics. Graduates were received and interviewed according to professional and academic standards aimed at selecting qualified and competent candidates The interviews included graduates from the Computer Engineering Technologies and Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineering Technologies departments, giving them the opportunity to present their academic skills and practical experience before the specialized committee This step comes as part of the university’s ongoing efforts to support its graduates and professionally prepare them, as well as to strengthen cooperation with the labor market in a way that contributes to providing real job opportunities for graduates of Al-Mustaqbal University

Al-Mustaqbal University Enhances Students' Skills with a Training Workshop on Effective Communication

In line with the directives of Al-Mustaqbal University President, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, to support students and develop the soft skills required in the job market, the Rehabilitation, Employment, and Follow-up Division organized a specialized training workshop titled "Soft Skills - Effective Communication Skills." This workshop is part of a series of programs designed to enhance students' readiness and empower them professionally. The workshop was delivered by the internationally certified trainer, Dr. Mohammed Ziyad from SERA Company, who discussed methods of effective communication, persuasion skills, the art of active listening, and professional interaction techniques within workplace environments. The session also included practical exercises that enabled students to apply the concepts and strengthen their personal skills. At the beginning of the workshop, Mudhaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairy, Director of Scientific and Academic Supervision, delivered a speech emphasizing the importance of soft skills as a fundamental pillar in shaping students' academic and professional personalities. He noted that possessing communication, teamwork, and leadership skills has become a key requirement for success across various sectors. He also commended the university units for providing high-quality training programs that align with labor market needs. The workshop concluded with the presentation of appreciation shields to the training team, acknowledging their cooperation and efforts in supporting the development of students' skills. The event witnessed strong participation from students across the university's colleges, with 100 male and female students attending from different disciplines-reflecting their keen interest in developing their personal and professional skills. Through such initiatives, Al-Mustaqbal University reaffirms its ongoing commitment to preparing students capable of competing in the job market by equipping them with the cognitive and soft skills required for modern careers across diverse sectors.

Al-Mustaqbal University Launches the Training Course “Project Plan Development” in Cooperation with the Directorate of Entrepreneurship and Excellence at the Prime Minister’s Office

In line with its vision of supporting youth potential and promoting a culture of entrepreneurship and innovation, Al-Mustaqbal University, in cooperation with the Directorate of Entrepreneurship and Excellence at the Prime Minister’s Office, inaugurated on Sunday, September 14, 2025, the training course entitled “Project Plan Development”, which will run for five days. The course, which brings together twenty trainees from among students and graduates, aims to equip participants with practical skills to design viable and implementable entrepreneurial project plans. The training sessions are being delivered by certified entrepreneurship trainer Umayma Kazem. On the second day of the program, Prof. Dr. Mudhaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairy, Director of Scientific and Academic Supervision at Al-Mustaqbal University, attended part of the activities and reviewed a number of proposed project ideas presented by the participants. He praised their innovative mindset, strong motivation, and determination to move forward in realizing their entrepreneurial aspirations. In his remarks, Prof. Dr. Al-Zuhairy affirmed that the doors of Al-Mustaqbal University will always remain open to provide guidance and support, encouraging participants to maintain ongoing communication with the university in order to assess their post-training steps and transform their ideas into pioneering projects that contribute to community service and sustainable development. Al-Mustaqbal University Hosts French Expert Stéphane Diaz for an Advanced Workshop on Zero Pain Dentistry

In line with its commitment to fostering international academic partnerships and enhancing students’ skills, Al-Mustaqbal University hosted the renowned French expert, Mr. Stephan Diaz, in a specialized training workshop titled “Zero Pain Dentistry”, organized under the auspices of ABLAL International – Baghdad/Al-Mansour Branch. The workshop, held at the Student Activities Hall in the Medical Building, lasted over ninety minutes and drew a wide audience of faculty members and students from the College of Dentistry. It served as a significant scientific contribution by showcasing the latest global practices in pain-free dental treatment, thereby enriching participants’ knowledge and refining their practical skills. During the visit, the university presented its honorary shield to Mr. Diaz, along with an additional shield awarded to Dr. Azhar, the representative of ABLAL International. The event concluded with a campus tour of the College of Dentistry and its university clinics, where the guest expressed his admiration for the academic standards and modern facilities, capturing commemorative photographs within the campus.
