Following Dr. Al-Abbadi’s Session… Eng. Mohammed Saad Trains Medical Device Students on the Practical Development of the Intelligent Oxygen Mask

Following the advisory session delivered by Prof. Dr. Nithal Khudair Al-Abadi for the students working on their graduation project to develop an intelligent oxygen mask, Eng. Mohammed Saad Abees has begun providing hands-on training to the students in the department’s laboratories. Throughout the practical session, Eng. Mohammed explained the steps for assembling the electronic circuits, integrating breathing and oxygen-flow sensors, and supervising the initial testing stages of the prototype to ensure accuracy and responsiveness to vital changes. He also guided the students on proper handling of biomedical electronic components and demonstrated how to achieve full integration between the software and hardware aspects to ensure the mask operates efficiently. Future Center Hosts Advisory Dialogue Session to Guide Medical Device Engineering Students in Developing Innovative Graduation Projects Aligned with Sustainable Development Goals

Al-Mustaqbal Center for Artificial Intelligence Applications organized a distinguished advisory dialogue session for students of the Medical Device Engineering Department, aimed at discussing graduation project ideas and guiding students toward selecting the most accurate and effective scientific paths required for obtaining their bachelor’s degree. The session was led by Dr. Feryal Ibrahim Al-Dhafeeri and Eng. Hasanen Taha, who provided specialized guidance and strategies for refining research ideas, in addition to clarifying the scientific and technical standards students should follow during the stages of developing their projects. The supervisors also highlighted the importance of aligning graduation projects with real challenges in the healthcare sector and with recent advancements in artificial intelligence and medical technologies, in order to strengthen the students’ practical and innovative skills. During the session, emphasis was placed on the contribution of graduation projects to several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly: Goal 3: Good Health and Well-Being, through developing technological solutions that enhance the quality of medical care. The committee will be responsible for reviewing theses, dissertations, and scientific research papers, in line with the university’s commitment to academic excellence and research quality.
