Al-Mustaqbal University Hosts the President of the University of Information and Communications Technology and Signs a Cooperation MoU

Al-Mustaqbal University welcomed Prof. Abbas Mohsen Al-Bakri, President of the University of Information and Communications Technology, received by the University President Prof. Hassan Shaker Majdi, as part of strengthening academic partnerships between Iraqi universities. The visit concluded with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding covering joint scientific research, publication in reputable journals, support for international rankings, exchange of faculty and students, and specialized training programs for capacity building. The guest also toured the university campus and expressed his admiration for the advanced infrastructure and remarkable academic development. The visit coincided with his participation as a keynote speaker at the Arab Forum on Digital Transformation and Artificial Intelligence, hosted by the university in cooperation with the Union of Arab Scientific Research Councils.

Al-Mustaqbal University Continues Its Global Rise and Achieves a Qualitative Leap in the Webometrics Ranking

Al-Mustaqbal University has recorded a new academic achievement that reflects its rapid development and growing presence on the map of higher education. The University ranked first among private universities in Iraq at the national level, and third at the level of the country and the region, within the global Webometrics Ranking, which included the participation of 128 public and private Iraqi universities. At the international level, the University achieved a significant leap in its global ranking, advancing from 3224 in the previous edition to 1967 in the latest edition, moving up 1,257 positions at once. This clearly indicates the remarkable improvement in its academic, research, and digital performance, as well as its effective presence within the global university environment. This progress is attributed to the University’s sustained institutional efforts in the fields of rigorous scientific research, academic publishing in international databases, and enhancing the digital presence of its websites and academic platforms, in addition to developing its scientific and administrative infrastructure, in line with the standards and indicators adopted by international rankings. In this context, the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, praised the significant efforts exerted by the academic and administrative staff, affirming that this achievement is the result of collective work and a strong team spirit, and serves as a motivation to continue advancing the University’s position in various national and international rankings. Dr. Majdi also emphasized the importance of sustaining institutional work and integrating roles among colleges, research centers, and supporting units, noting that the University is moving forward with the implementation of its strategic plans aimed at enhancing the quality of education, supporting high-quality scientific research, increasing international publication rates, and improving digital performance, in a manner that contributes to improving ranking indicators and achieving further future accomplishments.

Al-Mustaqbal University Prepares to Host the International EURAS Academy Forum

Al-Mustaqbal University is finalizing preparations to host the EURAS Academy Forum on 29 January, reaffirming its leading academic role and strong commitment to international engagement. The meeting, chaired by Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of the University, reviewed the forum’s scientific agenda and key organizational and logistical arrangements to ensure a successful international event aligned with global standards. EURAS Academy – Iraq will bring together university leaders, academics, policymakers, and international partners to discuss key themes in higher education development, including quality assurance and accreditation, strategic leadership and governance, internationalization and academic mobility, sustainability and SDGs, digital transformation and innovation, and regional cooperation between Iraq, Turkey, Europe, and the MENA region. The forum program features a keynote lecture, specialized academic panels, an interactive institutional workshop, and a regional roundtable, fostering dialogue, knowledge exchange, and future collaboration. Signed by Prof. Dr. Mudhaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairy and Ms. Runaq Jabbar Abd Bishara, the agreement supports persons with disabilities through training, knowledge exchange, and research initiatives, contributing to inclusive environments and the Sustainable Development Goals.

University of Al-Mustaqbal Holds Meeting to Activate Memoranda of Understanding and Strengthen Local and International Academic Partnerships

As part of its strategic vision to enhance academic and scientific cooperation, and under the direct guidance of the President of University of Al-Mustaqbal, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, the Scientific and Academic Supervision Office at the University Presidency convened a specialized meeting to discuss mechanisms for activating memoranda of understanding and agreements concluded with leading local and international universities, as well as with state institutions, federations, and organizations related to the higher education sector. The meeting aimed to maximize the benefits of these partnerships in areas of mutual interest. The meeting was chaired by the Director of Scientific and Academic Supervision, Professor Dr. Muzaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi, and was attended by the Director of the Department of Cultural Relations, Dr. Samir Badrawi, along with the liaison officers representing the University’s colleges. During the meeting, Professor Dr. Al-Zuhairi emphasized the importance of moving beyond the stage of signing agreements to actual and effective implementation. He stressed the need for direct communication with counterparts in partner universities and institutions with which memoranda of understanding have already been signed, as well as the establishment of clear priorities and actionable plans supported by defined timelines. He also highlighted the necessity of documenting all official correspondence and related procedures, and of regularly monitoring progress in order to evaluate outcomes and enhance the efficiency of academic and scientific partnerships. This approach aligns with University of Al-Mustaqbal’s vision of academic openness, internationalization, and the exchange of expertise. This meeting forms part of a series of steps adopted by University of Al-Mustaqbal to maximize the impact of its institutional collaborations, advance its educational and research programs, and strengthen its active presence within the higher education system at both the local and international levels.

Al-Mustaqbal University Discusses with the National Center for Administrative Development and Information Technology at the Ministry of Planning Mechanisms to Activate Cooperation and Enhance Institutional Partnerships

In line with Al-Mustaqbal University’s orientation toward expanding national partnerships and strengthening institutional integration, and under the direct guidance and follow-up of the University President, Professor Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, the University hosted the Director General of the National Center for Administrative Development and Information Technology at the Ministry of Planning, Dr. Hussein Ali Dawood Al-Ghartani. The visiting guest was received by the Administrative Assistant to the President, Professor Dr. Mundhir Fadhil Al-Dulaimi; the Director of Scientific and Academic Supervision, Professor Dr. Mudhaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairy; the Dean of the College of Administrative Sciences, Professor Dr. Haidar Al-Dulaimi; and the Consultant, Professor Dr. Mohsen Al-Furaiji, along with a number of department directors at the University Presidency. The visit included an expanded meeting during which areas of mutual interest were discussed, as well as mechanisms for activating the cooperation agreement concluded between the two sides, in a manner that contributes to supporting administrative development programs, digital transformation, and capacity building, in line with institutional development priorities and the requirements of quality and governance. Following the meeting, the visiting guest conducted a field tour of several university facilities, during which he reviewed the advanced infrastructure provided by the University for its students and staff. He also attended part of the activities of the Future Festival for Persons with Disabilities, organized by the Student Activities Department under the patronage of the University President. At the conclusion of the visit, Dr. Al-Ghartani expressed his great admiration for the remarkable development he observed in the university environment and institutional organization, affirming the readiness of the National Center for Administrative Development and Information Technology to engage in effective partnerships and to support Al-Mustaqbal University’s initiatives and its ongoing pursuit of achieving the highest levels of performance and excellence at both the national and international levels.

University of Al-Mustaqbal Strengthens National Partnership with the National Center for Administrative Development and Information Technology to Expand Qualitative Cooperation

In line with its strategic vision to build effective partnerships with leading national institutions, University of Al-Mustaqbal participated in a high-level meeting with the National Center for Administrative Development and Information Technology at the Ministry of Planning. The meeting focused on exploring prospects for bilateral cooperation and enhancing institutional integration in the fields of training, development, and human capacity building. The discussions addressed the potential launch of advanced joint training programs, as well as the design of specialized initiatives in training, consultancy, and research. These efforts aim to enhance institutional performance, improve human resource efficiency, and keep pace with rapid developments in administrative practices and information technology. The delegation from University of Al-Mustaqbal included Dr. Samir Badrawi, Director of the Cultural Relations Department; Dr. Riyadh Hamid Salman, Director of the Continuing Education Center; and Mr. Abdul Ali Dakhel, Assistant Director of the Center. The delegation presented a comprehensive overview of the University’s academic and training capabilities, highlighting its experience in implementing high-quality development programs in accordance with recognized standards. They reaffirmed the University’s readiness to mobilize its scientific and human expertise in support of national administrative and technological development programs. For its part, the National Center welcomed the visit and emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation with reputable Iraqi universities, particularly those with advanced institutional structures and successful experience in training and capacity building. Such collaboration, the Center noted, contributes to achieving sustainable development goals, supporting administrative reform pathways, and enhancing the efficiency of state institutions. This meeting forms part of University of Al-Mustaqbal’s broader strategic approach to institutional openness and partnership with government entities, reinforcing its academic standing and its pivotal role in supporting national development plans through impactful training and consultancy programs that serve the community and promote a more efficient and sustainable future.
