Assessment and Monitoring of the National Competency Exam at the College of Dentistry – Al-Mustaqbal University

As part of Al-Mustaqbal University s ongoing efforts to uphold academic standards and enhance the quality of examination processes, the College of Dentistry conducted the national competency exam for fourth-year students in Oral Surgery on Tuesday, May 6, 2025. The exam was held under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of the University, with the guidance of Asst. Prof. Dr. Abbas Al-Bawi, Vice President for Scientific Affairs, and the supervision of Prof. Dr. Saad Fathallah Alalem, Director of the Measurement and Evaluation Unit. The exam was supervised directly by Dr. Athraa Yahya Al-Hijazi, Dean of the College of Dentistry, with the support of Dr. Basim Kareem Nasr, Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, and Dr. Huda Hilal Abbas Al-Bayati, Head of the Measurement and Evaluation Unit at the college. The exam was also monitored by the Ministerial Committee and a representative of the Head of the Deans’ Committee for Colleges of Dentistry, who reviewed the progress of the examination process and confirmed compliance with the official instructions issued by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. Particular emphasis was placed on the proper use of the electronic answer sheet (bubble sheet). The exam was conducted successfully in a well-organized and smooth manner, reflecting the college’s commitment to providing an ideal testing environment and to applying national standards of measurement and evaluation that ensure fairness and transparency. Monitoring and Evaluation of Final Assessment Examinations at the College of Nursing – Al-Mustaqbal University

As part of Al-Mustaqbal University’s continuous efforts to enhance the quality of higher education and ensure the implementation of approved standards in assessment examinations, the University’s Measurement and Evaluation Unit supervised the final exams at the College of Nursing. This process was carried out under the direct supervision and patronage of Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, the respected President of the University, under the guidance of Asst. Prof. Dr. Abbas Al-Bawi, Assistant President for Scientific Affairs, and with follow-up by Prof. Dr. Saad Fathallah Elalem, Director of the Measurement and Evaluation Unit. The examinations were conducted in the College of Pharmacy building, with the participation of students from the College of Nursing. Supervision was led by Prof. Dr. Saadia Hadi Humaidi, Dean of the College, in coordination with Dr. Rawa Majid, Scientific Associate Dean, and Dr. Ismail Mohammed Kadhim, Head of the Measurement and Evaluation Unit in the college. The examinations were supervised by the presence of both the ministerial committee and the committee formed by the Deans of the Colleges of Nursing, in accordance with the regulations of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research regarding standardized assessment exams. The examinations were conducted in an organized and smooth manner, with full adherence to examination instructions and no recorded administrative or technical issues. The supervising ministerial committee praised the high level of organization, discipline, and accuracy of procedures followed by the college, affirming that the outcomes reflect the University’s commitment to enhancing the quality of the educational process and promoting a culture of objective evaluation in the academic environment. The Launch of the Final Exams for the Second Semester 2024/2025 at Al-Mustaqbal University Colleges

On Saturday, May 3, 2025, the final exams for the second semester of the 2024/2025 academic year began at Al-Mustaqbal University Colleges, amidst a distinguished academic and organizational atmosphere. The exams were held under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, President of the University, with direct supervision from Prof. Assistant Dr. Abbas Abdul-Bawi, Vice President for Scientific Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Munther Fadel Hassan, Vice President for Administrative Affairs, as well as the follow-up of Prof. Dr. Saad Fathallah Elalem, Director of the Measurement and Evaluation Unit. All colleges started the exams according to well-organized schedules covering different academic levels and disciplines, with full compliance to the instructions and guidelines issued by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, ensuring the smooth and accurate conduct of the exam process. The exams are being conducted under the direct supervision of the Vice Presidents, Deans of the Colleges, teaching staff, and the central exam committees. A team from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research also attended and monitored the exams, observing the smooth flow of the assessment process and praised the significant role Al-Mustaqbal University plays in ensuring the success of the exam process and providing a suitable environment for students. The Measurement and Evaluation Unit plays a central role in monitoring and evaluating the exam process by coordinating with the measurement units in the colleges. This includes training students on the exam system and how to handle the exam papers, monitoring the application of assessment standards, ensuring the accuracy of the exam blueprints, organizing the distribution of answer sheets (bubble sheets), and generating reports on the progress of the exams. The unit also evaluates all exams and measures student satisfaction to ensure transparency and fairness. Several students expressed their great satisfaction with the organization and discipline within the exam halls, appreciating the university's efforts and commitment to providing a supportive and motivating exam environment, reflecting the advanced level the university has reached in managing the educational process. In accordance with the directives issued by the Measurement and Evaluation Unit regarding the supervision of practical and theoretical examinations across the colleges of Al-Mustaqbal University, and under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi, President of the University, with the oversight of Assistant Prof. Dr. Abbas Albawi, Assistant President for Scientific Affairs, and follow-up by Prof. Dr. Saad Fathallah Elalem, Director of the Measurement and Evaluation Unit, The College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at Al-Mustaqbal University commenced the administration of practical examinations under the direct supervision of Assistant Prof. Dr. Sanaa Abdul Ameer, Dean of the College, and with academic follow-up by Dr. Mohammad Hasan Shaalan, Academic Assistant at the College. The college administration was keen to ensure strict adherence to academic and professional standards in the evaluation process, providing an optimal educational environment that encourages students to demonstrate their motor skills and practical competencies at the highest level. The examinations were conducted across all practical specializations following rigorous standards set by the Measurement and Evaluation Unit. Prof. Dr. Abbas Al-Bawi, Assistant President for Scientific Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Saad Fathallah Elalem, Director of the Measurement and Evaluation Unit. The examinations took place on Sunday, May 4, 2025, for third- and fifth-year students in the College of Dentistry building, under the direct supervision of Prof. Dr. Athraa Yahya Al-Hijazi, Dean of the College, along with Dr. Basim Kareem Nasr, Scientific Associate Dean, and Dr. Huda Hilal, the College’s Measurement and Evaluation Officer. The fifth-year assessment exam was conducted under the supervision of ministerial committees from the University of Babylon / College of Dentistry, in accordance with the Ministry s standardized assessment policies. The exams proceeded smoothly and efficiently, with full adherence to examination instructions and without any recorded organizational or technical issues. The supervising committee praised the accuracy of the adopted procedures and the excellent organization of the examinations, emphasizing that such dedication reflects the efforts of the University and its staff and contributes to improving the quality of both the educational and examination processes, in alignment with the approved standards of assessment exams.
