Under the Patronage of the University Presidency and the College Deanship… Launch of the First Round / First Semester Examinations for First-Year Students at the College of Nursing – Al-Mustaqbal University

The first round / first semester examinations for first-year students at the College of Nursing commenced in a well-organized atmosphere that reflected a high level of preparedness and a strong commitment to applying the highest standards of academic quality. The examinations were held under the patronage of Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of the University, and under the direct supervision of Professor Dr. Qahtan Hadi Al-Jubouri, Dean of the College of Nursing. They emphasized the importance of providing a suitable examination environment that supports students and motivates them to perform at their best. The Measurement and Evaluation Unit at the College, supervised by Dr. Ismail Mohammed Kadhim Al-Saadi, oversaw the technical and administrative aspects of the examinations, including the preparation of questions in accordance with approved scientific standards and in alignment with the first-year curriculum. All necessary organizational requirements were provided within the examination halls, with full adherence to instructions and guidelines to ensure the smooth and disciplined conduct of the examinations, reflecting a distinguished academic image of both the College and the University. The College of Medicine at Al-Mustaqbal University commenced today its final examinations for first-year students in accordance with the approved academic plan for the current academic year. The examinations are being conducted in a well-organized environment that reflects the College’s commitment to maintaining accuracy, discipline, and academic integrity. The first examination was in Theoretical Anatomy, as it is one of the core subjects carrying the highest number of credit hours in the first semester. This subject plays a fundamental role in establishing the scientific foundation for medical students. The examination process was conducted with high levels of organization and precise procedures to ensure smooth administration and equal opportunities for all students. The examinations were characterized by a high degree of transparency and strict adherence to the approved academic regulations and guidelines, reflecting the careful planning and preparation undertaken by the College Deanship and examination committees. The Measurement and Evaluation Unit at the College of Law, Al-Mustaqbal University, closely monitored the final examinations of first-year students conducted under the Bologna System. This follow-up reflects the College’s continuous commitment to implementing academic quality standards and adopting best practices in higher education institutions. Commencement of Midterm Examinations for First-Year Students at the College of Nursing, Al-Mustaqbal University

Under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, and under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Abbas Abdul Ali Al-Bari, the College of Nursing has commenced the midterm examinations for first-year students, in an organized and academic atmosphere reflecting the college’s commitment to providing an appropriate examination environment that ensures fairness and transparency in evaluating students’ academic performance. The examinations were conducted under the direct supervision of the Dean of the College of Nursing, Professor Dr. Qahtan Hadi Al-Jubouri, with on-site follow-up by the Head of the Measurement and Evaluation Unit at the College of Nursing, Dr. Ismail Mohammed Kadhim Al-Saadi, to monitor the examination process and ensure compliance with the approved examination instructions and regulations. The college administration affirmed that prior preparations included preparing examination halls, organizing schedules, and providing the necessary requirements to ensure the smooth conduct of examinations, in addition to directing the academic and administrative staff to provide the required support to students throughout the examination period. Under the Patronage of Professor Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi and Supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Abbas Abdul Ali Al-Bawi, the Department of Electrical Engineering Techniques Organizes a Series of Training Workshops for First-Year Students In line with the Department of Electrical Engineering Techniques’ commitment to preparing first-year students and familiarizing them with the approved systems and regulations, the course coordinator Asst. Lecturer Ali Emad Al-Qaim, in cooperation with the Head of the Measurement and Evaluation Unit in the department Asst. Lecturer Bushra Majid, conducted eight training workshops for students, with two workshops for each group. The workshops covered several key topics, including a session entitled “Examination Instructions”, which aimed to clarify exam regulations and the proper methods of compliance, in addition to another session entitled “How to Take Exams Using the Bubble Sheet”, which explained the correct method of answering using bubble sheet forms and highlighted common mistakes to avoid, thereby enhancing students’ readiness for exams and ensuring a smooth and organized examination process. These workshops are part of the department’s ongoing efforts to promote a culture of proper assessment among new students and raise awareness of academic procedures to ensure successful and well-organized exam performance.

The workshop, entitled “How to Properly Handle the Answer Sheet (Bubble Sheet)”, aimed to familiarize students with the correct method of filling out the answer sheet and to highlight common mistakes that may affect examination results. Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, and under the supervision of Dr. Saad Al-Alam, Head of the Measurement and Evaluation Division at the University, the College of Fine Arts held a workshop for first-year students. The workshop was conducted by Assistant Lecturer Suhaila Kazem Jasim, Head of Measurement and Evaluation at the college. The workshop was titled “Introducing Students to How to Use the Examination Sheet” and aimed to familiarize students with the correct way to handle examination sheets, explain the model method of answering, and avoid common mistakes that may negatively affect evaluation and grades. The workshop covered the structure and components of the examination sheet, types of questions (objective, essay, practical), and the distribution of marks. It also focused on reading and understanding questions correctly, distinguishing between action verbs such as explain, compare, list, discuss, and identifying key words in each question. Additionally, it addressed the proper way to answer questions, organizing and sequencing responses, clarity of handwriting, the importance of numbering, adhering to the required number of lines or paragraphs, and using illustrations or diagrams when necessary, especially for fine arts students. Common mistakes were also discussed, including incomplete reading of questions, deviating from the topic, neglecting personal information, and unclear or disorganized answers. Time management during the exam was emphasized, including allocating time according to the number of questions, starting with easier questions, and reserving time for review. The workshop also included the presentation of sample examination sheets and an open discussion with students to answer their inquiries. The workshop resulted in students gaining confidence in handling examination sheets, improving the quality of their answers, reducing mistakes, and increasing awareness of the university’s assessment and evaluation system, thereby enhancing their academic readiness and developing their practical skills.
