Active Participation of the Measurement and Evaluation Unit in Al-Mustaqbal University’s Fourth Sustainability Week

As part of the activities of the Fourth International Sustainability Week at Al-Mustaqbal University, the Measurement and Evaluation Unit participated in the event held in the university’s central hall, with wide attendance from guests, staff, and students. The participation aimed to highlight the university’s academic achievements and promote sustainability concepts within the educational environment by showcasing distinguished outputs that reflect the institution’s level of development. The Unit’s participation included presenting a collection of scientific reports and specialized publications documenting the university’s أبرز achievements during the current academic year, in addition to highlighting modern measurement and evaluation methods adopted to develop the educational process and ensure its quality in line with contemporary academic standards. The participation also featured a number of student-support activities and initiatives focused on enhancing academic skills and developing student capabilities within an educational environment aligned with sustainability concepts, as well as emphasizing the Unit’s role in supporting the transition toward competency-based and quality-driven education. The Unit’s booth witnessed notable engagement from attendees, who explored various models of work and programs that contribute to building a sustainable urban university environment, enhancing the quality of educational outcomes and supporting the university’s continuous development efforts. Al-Mustaqbal University President Opens Scientific & Art Exhibitions and Sports Activities on Day One of Sustainability Week

The activities of the first day of the Fourth International Sustainability Week at Al-Mustaqbal University were launched in a distinguished official and academic atmosphere, reflecting the university’s commitment to promoting and embedding sustainability concepts across its educational and student activities. The President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, inaugurated a series of scientific and artistic exhibitions, along with the launch of several sports activities held across a number of colleges, including Health and Medical Technologies, Pharmacy, Dentistry, Physical Education and Sports Sciences, and Arts. The events witnessed wide participation from academic leaders, faculty members, and students, who presented innovative scientific projects that demonstrated a strong engagement with sustainability concepts and their practical applications across various disciplines. The program also included art exhibitions addressing environmental themes in creative ways, in addition to sports activities aimed at promoting health awareness and encouraging students to adopt active lifestyles. The Continuation of Final Practical Examinations for Students of the College of Dentistry at Al-Mustaqbal University Within the framework of Al-Mustaqbal University’s commitment to applying the highest standards of academic quality and adhering to clinical and laboratory assessment methodologies, the university’s colleges continue to conduct final practical examinations. This is held under the patronage of Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of the University, with the guidance of Assistant Professor Dr. Abbas Abdul-Bawi, Assistant President for Scientific Affairs, and the supervision of Professor Dr. Saad Fathallah Al-Alam, Director of the Measurement and Evaluation Unit at the university. In this context, the College of Dentistry continues to administer final practical examinations across its departments and specialized laboratories, under the direct supervision of the Dean, Professor Dr. Athraa Yahya Mohammed Al-Hijazi, with field follow-up by Dr. Hassan Khalid Hassan, Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, and Dr. Mohammed Ammar Imad, Head of the Measurement and Evaluation Unit in the college. This comes as part of the commitment to monitoring students’ practical skills and implementing examination procedures in accordance with international quality assurance and academic accreditation standards. Academic Cooperation Between Al-Mustaqbal University and the University of Kufa in Joint Examinations

The joint ministerial examination was conducted between the College of Arts and Humanities at Al-Mustaqbal University and the University of Kufa, under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, with the follow-up of the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Hussein Waheed Aziz, and the direct supervision of the Head of the Department of English Language and Literature, Professor Dr. Asim Aboud Zubar, with the aim of strengthening academic cooperation and ensuring the quality of the examination process. The examination was organized in a well-structured academic environment characterized by high accuracy and smooth procedures, with all necessary arrangements made in accordance with approved academic standards. A ministerial committee conducted a field visit to monitor the examination process and review the implementation of regulations, praising the level of organization and coordination among the examination committees, as well as the teaching and administrative staff. The committee also commended the efforts made in preparing the examination halls and providing a suitable environment for students, ensuring fairness, transparency, and equal opportunities. The College of Fine Arts at Al-Mustaqbal University held an awareness workshop, sponsored by the University President, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, and supervised by the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Mazen Hadi Kazar, titled “Mechanisms for Implementing Blended Examinations and Using the Bubble Sheet System in University Assessment” on Tuesday, March 31, 2026. The workshop, prepared by Professor Dr. Saad Al-Alam, Head of the Measurement and Evaluation Division at Al-Mustaqbal University, and Assistant Lecturer Suhaila Kadhim Jassim, Head of Measurement and Evaluation at the College of Fine Arts, covered the concept and importance of blended examinations, as well as an introduction to the Bubble Sheet system and how to use it. It also explained the correct way to fill out the form and highlighted common mistakes to avoid. The workshop aimed to enhance students’ skills in using modern assessment methods, contributing to improving education quality, fairness, and transparency, in alignment with Sustainable Development Goal 4: Quality Education. The workshop emphasized the importance of adopting modern technologies in university assessment due to their effective role in improving learning outcomes and developing students’ skills.

Under the Patronage of Professor Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi and Supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Abbas Abdul Ali Al-Bawi, the Department of Electrical Engineering Techniques Organizes a Series of Training Workshops for First-Year Students In line with the Department of Electrical Engineering Techniques’ commitment to preparing first-year students and familiarizing them with the approved systems and regulations, the course coordinator Asst. Lecturer Ali Emad Al-Qaim, in cooperation with the Head of the Measurement and Evaluation Unit in the department Asst. Lecturer Bushra Majid, conducted eight training workshops for students, with two workshops for each group. The workshops covered several key topics, including a session entitled “Examination Instructions”, which aimed to clarify exam regulations and the proper methods of compliance, in addition to another session entitled “How to Take Exams Using the Bubble Sheet”, which explained the correct method of answering using bubble sheet forms and highlighted common mistakes to avoid, thereby enhancing students’ readiness for exams and ensuring a smooth and organized examination process. These workshops are part of the department’s ongoing efforts to promote a culture of proper assessment among new students and raise awareness of academic procedures to ensure successful and well-organized exam performance.

Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, and under the direct supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Abbas Abdul Ali Al-Bawi and the Dean of the College, Dr. Haider Al-Dulaimi, the Measurement and Evaluation Unit at the College of Administrative Sciences organized an educational workshop for first-year students, as part of its academic activities and in line with the college’s commitment to promoting a culture of proper assessment among new students. The workshop, entitled “How to Properly Handle the Answer Sheet (Bubble Sheet)”, aimed to familiarize students with the correct method of filling out the answer sheet and to highlight common mistakes that may affect examination results. The workshop targeted first-year students at the College of Administrative Sciences and was organized by the Measurement and Evaluation Unit, under the supervision and coordination of Asst.
