Training Workshop entitled “Examination Instructions for Students and the Mechanism of Handling the Exam Paper”

Under the patronage of His Excellency Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, the College of Medicine held a scientific workshop for first-year students entitled “Examination Instructions for Students and the Mechanism of Dealing with the Examination Paper,” within the framework of the Measurement and Evaluation Unit’s efforts to disseminate a modern assessment culture and enhance students’ awareness of the approved regulations. The workshop was conducted under the auspices of the Dean of the College of Medicine, Professor Dr. Walaa Luay Al-Fallouji, and under the direct supervision of the Head of the Measurement and Evaluation Unit at the University, Dr. Saad Al-Alam, with follow-up from the Measurement and Evaluation Unit at the College managed by Dr. Ban Dhaher Al-Shammari, in cooperation with the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Dr. Marwa Fadhil Al-Saffar, and with the participation of her assistant, Dr. Marwa Fadhil Al-Saffar, in addition to the active involvement of the academic staff, which contributed to achieving the objectives of the workshop at both the organizational and academic levels. The event aimed to familiarize students with the approved examination instructions and explain the correct mechanism for dealing with the examination paper, while focusing on common mistakes that may affect student performance and grades. It also included practical clarifications on how to read questions, manage time during the examination, and adhere to the administrative and educational regulations inside the examination hall, in accordance with the measurement and evaluation standards adopted by Al-Mustaqbal University. This workshop comes as part of the continuous efforts of the Measurement and Evaluation Unit and the College of Medicine to prepare students psychologically and academically before taking examinations, strengthen their examination skills, and positively reflect on their level of performance, as well as to consolidate the principles of fairness, transparency, equal opportunities, and equity in academic assessment.
