Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, and the supervision of Asst. Prof. Dr. Abbas Al-Bawei, the Scientific Assistant to the President of the University, and with the follow-up of Prof. Dr. Saad Fathallah Elalem, Director of the Measurement and Evaluation Unit, the Skills Guide Preparation Committee held its first meeting at the headquarters of the Measurement and Evaluation Unit. The meeting was convened to discuss the selection of the committee chairperson and the mechanisms for preparing the Skills Guide across the university’s colleges. During the session, Prof. Dr. Nada Khazal, Professor at the College of Pharmacy, was nominated and unanimously elected as Chairperson of the Committee. The committee discussed the procedural steps and the timeline for preparing the Skills Guide in all university colleges, identifying the implementation stages that ensure the completion of the guide in accordance with approved academic standards. The meeting also included a review of the main components of the guide’s content, as well as mechanisms for integrating assessment skills within each academic course, thereby enhancing the quality of educational outcomes. During the discussions, emphasis was placed on the importance of coordination between the Measurement and Evaluation Unit and the Quality Assurance Department to ensure content accuracy and alignment between course skills and the intended learning outcomes. The committee also reviewed modern approaches and tools for measurement and evaluation, aimed at improving teaching efficiency and promoting the application of skills-based learning principles. The meeting concluded with an agreement to develop a clear timeline for completing the guide in each college and to form specialized working teams, in alignment with Al-Mustaqbal University’s vision of enhancing comprehensive quality and implementing advanced systems of academic measurement and evaluation.
