Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Hasan Shaker Magdy, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, and supervision of Assistant Prof. Dr. Abbas Abdul Ali Al-Bawi, the Measurement and Evaluation Unit, in collaboration with the Continuing Education Center, organized a training course titled: "Exam Committee Procedures – Organizational, Technical, and Legal Aspects," on Tuesday, 9/12/2025. The course targeted practical assistants in the colleges, heads and members of exam committees, and officials of the Measurement and Evaluation Unit, focusing on standardizing procedures and enhancing the efficiency of work within committees in line with approved academic standards. The course was managed by Prof. Dr. Saad Elalem, with lectures delivered by: Assistant Prof. Dr. Amin Muhammad Kitab, on the operation of committees according to the Bologna Process and the electronic system, including student data entry, grading, handling technical errors, and ensuring data accuracy. Assistant Prof. Dr. Ezzedine Hussein, on organizational and technical aspects within the committees, task distribution among members, monitoring exams in the halls, grading, and ensuring smooth operations. Assistant Prof. Dr. Fatima Abdul Rahim, on the legal framework for exam committees, addressing penalties and legal procedures in cases of errors or negligence, emphasizing adherence to regulations to protect students’ and the institution’s rights. The course covered key topics including the preparation of exam committees, ensuring readiness of halls and technical requirements, managing and analyzing electronic exam data, internal organization of committees, assigning responsibilities to heads and members, monitoring exam progress, and reviewing results. It also focused on legal and ethical aspects of exam administration, including safeguarding student rights, adhering to university regulations, and applying penalties when necessary, alongside practical exercises to enhance participants’ ability to handle daily challenges within the committees. The course concluded with an interactive discussion session, reflecting participants’ interest in such programs for improving institutional performance and ensuring a well-organized and fair exam environment, while emphasizing the importance of ongoing training programs to strengthen the efficiency of exam committees.
