The Measurement and Evaluation Unit at Al-Mustaqbal University, in cooperation with the Measurement and Evaluation Center at Mansoura University – Egypt, organized an international training workshop entitled “Exam Paper Quality Standards”. This workshop comes within the university’s ongoing efforts to develop assessment and examination systems and to enhance the quality of the educational process. The workshop was held under the patronage of Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Abbas Abdul Ali Al-Bawi, Assistant President for Scientific Affairs, and was managed by Professor Dr. Saad Fathallah Elalem, Director of the Measurement and Evaluation Unit at Al-Mustaqbal University, with the participation of Professor Dr. Maha Abdo El-Ashmawy, Director of the Measurement and Evaluation Center at Mansoura University – Egypt. The workshop was attended by a number of faculty members from various colleges of the university. The workshop was delivered by Professor Dr. Iman Zahran Abdel Hamid, Professor of Aquatic Animal Medicine at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Vice Director of the Measurement and Evaluation Center at Mansoura University – Egypt. The workshop addressed exam paper quality standards, including exam paper evaluation, types of assessment and examinations, principles of question design, the test design cycle, and aligning examinations with learning objectives according to Bloom’s Taxonomy. In addition, practical examples of well-constructed questions were presented, along with an introduction to alternative assessment tools, contributing to the enhancement of examination quality and improvement of learning outcomes.
