The 5th edition of the Babylon International Animation Film Festival officially launched today at Al-Mustaqbal University, in a vibrant opening ceremony attended by notable Arab and international guests. The festival is held under the patronage of Al-Mustaqbal University, the French Embassy, the French Cultural Institute in Baghdad, and the Iraqi Artists Syndicate. The opening ceremony commenced with a speech by Dr. Abbas Al-Bawei, Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs, who welcomed the attendees and highlighted the festival’s role in fostering cultural dialogue through the universal language of imagery and imagination. Oyster Mushrooms are renowned for their high nutritional value, serving as a rich source of vitamins and minerals. They also contain the rare antioxidant "Ergothioneine," which plays a crucial role in boosting the immune system and combating oxidative stress, offering significant health benefits. This achievement is part of the university’s broader initiatives to promote sustainable organic farming, which have also yielded high-quality crops such as yellow watermelon, climbing melon, and other plant varieties that support biodiversity and enhance food security in Iraq, aligning with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs 2, 12, 15). Under the patronage of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, and under the supervision of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, Al-Mustaqbal University held a celebration for World Intellectual Property Day. The event was attended by representatives from government ministries, private sector institutions, over forty inventors and innovators, and a wide range of faculty members and researchers. During his speech, he announced the launch of "The Intellectual Property Policy Document of Al-Mustaqbal University," a pioneering step to foster an innovative environment and protect the rights of students, researchers, and faculty members. The event featured a documentary film showcasing the university's achievements, followed by a detailed presentation of the policy document by Dr. Samir Ibrahim Badrawi.
