The College of Health and Medical Technologies was established in 2023 with the aim of preparing scientifically and professionally qualified graduates to work in health institutions, serving the country's health sector. The college offers a four-year study program, which includes summer training in government hospitals and participation in community service. Upon graduation, students are awarded a bachelor's degree in Health and Medical Technologies, equivalent to degrees in the field from colleges under the Technical Education Authority. The college consists of seven scientific departments: the Department of Medical Laboratory Technologies, the Department of Anesthesia Technologies, the Department of Radiology Technologies, the Department of Dental Technology, the Department of Optics Technology, the Department of Cosmetology and Laser Technology, and the Department of Artificial Kidney Technologies. The college is equipped with the latest basic and specialized laboratories capable of enhancing educational skills through a combination of theoretical study and practical application. The classrooms are also equipped with modern technological tools, ensuring the implementation of quality assurance standards and university performance across all organizational structures of the college. The college strives to elevate its position locally and internationally by ensuring the quality of its graduates, promoting scientific research, and contributing to the scientific integrity of university education in Iraq. The college also plays a role in supporting various state sectors, particularly in the health, medical, and private sectors, with its specialized graduates. Both the health and education sectors are witnessing significant growth and reform, and the labor market is experiencing an increasing demand for professionals in health and medical technology fields.
