The University of the Future celebrated World Intellectual Property Day under the patronage of His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, and under the supervision of the University President, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi. During the event, the "Intellectual Property Policy Document at the University of the Future" was launched as a pioneering step among Iraqi universities, aiming to protect the rights of researchers, students, and faculty, as well as to foster a creative and innovative environment. The event was attended by representatives from various ministries, government institutions, and private organizations, in addition to a group of inventors and innovators. A documentary film showcasing the university's achievements was presented, along with awareness sessions on intellectual property by the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Industry, and the Inventors' Association. Participants were honored, and certificates of appreciation were distributed. A special exhibition was also opened, showcasing patent models and innovative projects. The staff benefited from the event by learning about the latest policies and practices in intellectual property protection and ways to enhance the innovation environment within the university.
