The Quality Assurance and University Performance Department at Al-Mustaqbal University organized a workshop titled “Laboratory Classification Based on Risk Levels,” with the participation of quality officers, laboratory supervisors, and lab assistants, aiming to enhance safety standards in educational laboratories. The workshop covered mechanisms for classifying laboratories based on the risk levels of the materials used, risk mitigation procedures, and the impact of laboratory incidents. It also emphasized the importance of adhering to specialized protocols, using personal protective equipment, and training on first aid procedures. This workshop is part of the university’s ongoing efforts to improve laboratory quality, promote a culture of safety, and implement the highest international standards.

The Quality Assurance Department at Al-Mustaqbal University organized an online workshop on the internal auditor’s mechanism, with the participation of the internal audit team and several specialists in quality assurance and auditing. The workshop aimed to clarify the roles of the internal auditor, the mechanisms for conducting audit processes, and the importance of internal auditing in enhancing institutional performance and ensuring compliance with accredited standards. It also included in-depth discussions on developing an audit plan, conducting field visits, preparing final reports, and following up on the implementation of recommendations. The workshop witnessed active engagement from participants, featuring practical case studies and real-world experiences that illustrated how to address challenges faced by internal audit teams. Emphasis was placed on the role of internal auditing in fostering continuous improvement and ensuring quality in both academic and administrative institutions. At the conclusion of the workshop, participants praised the efforts invested in organizing this training event, highlighting the importance of promoting a culture of internal auditing and enhancing team competencies to ensure the adoption of best practices in this field

As part of the university’s ongoing efforts to achieve academic excellence and in alignment with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research regarding the implementation of distinguished institutional performance evaluation models, the Quality Assurance and University Performance Department organized a workshop on the European Excellence Model (EFQM). The workshop featured Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Abdul Karim Al-Saffar, Director of the Continuing Education Center at the Central Technical University, and was attended by quality assurance officials and members from various colleges and departments. The EFQM model is a comprehensive framework for assessing institutional performance, focusing on key areas such as leadership, strategy, resources, operations, and results. It aims to identify institutional strengths and challenges, facilitating the adoption of continuous improvement strategies and systematic performance development. Through this initiative, Al-Mustaqbal University reaffirms its commitment to enhancing its quality assurance system and adopting international best practices in institutional evaluation, further strengthening its position as a leader in education and academic excellence.
