Participation in an Online Workshop on News Quality in University Websites as Part of Media Skills Development Program

Within the framework of Al-Mustaqbal University’s commitment to enhancing the competencies of its staff and students in the media and digital fields, programmer Sarah Sadoon Abbas participated in the online workshop organized by the Website Follow-up Department at Al-Mustaqbal University. The workshop took place on Monday, July 28, 2025, at 6:00 PM via Google Meet platform. The workshop was titled: "News Quality on University Websites: Foundations, Standards, and Institutional Impact" and was presented by Dr. Sabreen Farhan Jawad. It covered several key topics, including: The importance of news quality in building the university’s institutional reputation. Proper methods for drafting university news. Electronic publishing standards and media professionalism. The workshop aimed to raise publishing efficiency, enhance credibility, and improve audience engagement. The session witnessed notable interaction from attendees, including discussions and questions that contributed to practical benefits. This workshop is part of a series of developmental activities striving to achieve the fourth Sustainable Development Goal (Quality Education), alongside supporting media innovation and advancing digital performance in educational institutions.
