Under the generous patronage of Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, and as part of the university’s efforts to enhance institutional accreditation and develop the scientific and intellectual capacities of its faculty and staff, the Center for Continuing Education organized a scientific workshop entitled “Human Rights.”
The session was coordinated and moderated by Asst. Prof. Dr. Rida Abdul Aati Al-Feshawi, Director of the Center for Continuing Education, and was delivered by Prof. Dr. Ammar Abbas Al-Husseini, Dean of the College of Law at Al-Mustaqbal University. The workshop was attended by a number of faculty members and administrative staff, and witnessed notable interaction and fruitful discussions.
The lecture covered several key themes, including:
General concepts of human rights in both international and national law.
The historical development of human rights frameworks.
The relationship between public freedoms and legal responsibility.
The role of academic institutions in promoting a culture of human rights.
The constitutional and legislative framework of human rights in Iraq.
This workshop comes as part of a series of activities organized by the Center for Continuing Education, aimed at developing professional competencies and promoting legal and human rights awareness within the university community.
