Ibrahim H. Al-Kharsan received his B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from Al-Kufa University, Najaf, Iraq in 2008. He obtained his M.Sc. degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, College of Engineering, Hyderabad, India in 2013. He later earned his Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from University of Basrah, College of Engineering, Iraq in 2020.
As part of his community service, Dr. Al-Kharsan has acted as a reviewer for numerous scientific journals and periodic conferences. He has also participated in many conferences as a member of scientific committees and reception committees, contributing to the organization and success of academic events.
His research interests include:

- Energy management and optimization
- Smart grids
Dr. Al-Kharsan’s work in smart grids focuses on developing efficient algorithms for power management and load regulation, aiming to enhance the stability, reliability, and sustainability of modern electrical networks. His research emphasizes intelligent control strategies that integrate renewable energy sources, improve demand-side management, and reduce energy losses. By applying advanced optimization techniques and cross-layer approaches, he seeks to achieve effective energy utilization and support the transition toward next-generation power systems.
