Al-Mustaqbal University is preparing to launch the activities of the Fourth International Future Sustainability Week 2026, one of the most prominent academic and environmental events in Iraq, scheduled to take place from April 12 to 15, 2026, under the theme: “An Academic Vision for a Green and Sustainable Future.” The event will be attended by university staff, students, as well as entrepreneurs and innovators. This event aims to enhance awareness of sustainability, reinforce the culture of voluntary work as a fundamental pillar in building a conscious and responsible society, and promote the principles of rational resource consumption, energy efficiency, and the achievement of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The week’s activities are set to commence at 9:00 a.m. on the university campus in Babil Governorate. The program will include a variety of activities and events highlighting green innovation, environmental initiatives, and opportunities for collaboration between academic and practical sectors. The event also provides an important opportunity for students and staff to engage in voluntary initiatives that contribute to serving the environment and the academic community. Additionally, it serves as a platform for business owners to explore opportunities in green innovation and establish partnerships that support the concept of a circular economy. Through this event, the university reaffirms its commitment to supporting efforts aimed at achieving a more sustainable future, strengthening the role of academic institutions in spreading environmental awareness, and fostering collective action that transforms visions into tangible realities, contributing to the future development of Iraq.
