Under the slogan “Poverty and Sustainable Development,” Al-Mustaqbal University announces the launch of its Second International Scientific Conference for 2026.
Under the patronage of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and under the supervision of Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, the College of Administrative Sciences announces the launch of its Second International Scientific Conference titled: “Poverty and Sustainable Development in Iraq: Cost of Impact and Response Policies,” to be held from April 13 to 14, 2026.
The conference will take place at Al-Mustaqbal University in cooperation with distinguished Arab academic institutions, including the Faculty of Commerce at Mansoura University (Egypt) and the College of Business Economics at the University of Bahrain. The event will feature the participation of a select group of researchers and academics from Iraqi, Arab, and international universities, with research papers presented across four main tracks: economic, administrative, accounting, and financial.
The conference aims to analyze the economic and social costs of poverty in Iraq and discuss governmental response policies. It also highlights the role of digital transformation and artificial intelligence in addressing developmental challenges, as well as enhancing environmental and economic sustainability strategies to serve society.
The organizing committee announced that participation in the conference is completely free of charge, with Al-Mustaqbal University covering the hospitality of participating researchers. The university also invited all interested scholars to submit their research within the specified deadlines to contribute to this global scientific initiative.
Through this event, Al-Mustaqbal University reaffirms its leading position among Iraqi private universities in supporting rigorous scientific research and addressing key national strategic issues.
